A Record-Breaking Fair: Mary Jane Berlin 2025

From June 19 to 22, we were in Berlin for Mary Jane, the world’s largest cannabis fair, which this year welcomed over 60,000 visitors, 3,500 B2B guests, and covered an impressive 80,000 m² of exhibition space.
It was an outstanding event where CannabisJobs had the pleasure of attending with our own stand and team.

The atmosphere was truly unique. Following legalization in Germany, there was a new, vibrant energy full of possibilities. Professionals, entrepreneurs, consumers, and enthusiasts came together in Berlin to explore the latest industry trends. It was also an incredibly valuable moment for us.

CannabisJobs: Attracting, Training, and Retaining Top Talent

The first day, dedicated entirely to B2B networking, was ideal for holding focused conversations with key players in a more professional and private setting. In the following days, the fair opened its doors to the public and transformed into a true festival, with an expansive outdoor area packed with activities.

We want to sincerely thank everyone who visited our stand—those who contacted us to recruit new talent, those looking for job opportunities, those who inquired about our training programs, and those who joined our Budtender workshop. We built new partnerships and strengthened existing ones with people and companies from all over the world. It was a truly special time, filled with meaningful conversations, shared goals, and the kind of energy that only in-person connection can bring.

More and more organizations are turning to us not only for recruitment, but also for professional training services—and as of this year, for talent retention solutions as well. These services offer strategic support to help companies grow and maintain high-performing teams over time.

Growing your team with us is more than just a phrase. It is the beginning of a shared path built on trust, purpose and genuine connection. It means creating something meaningful together, where people are valued not only for their skills but for the passion and vision they bring. When you grow your team with us, you are choosing more than a recruitment service. You are choosing a partner who listens, supports and believes that every new hire can shape the future of your company. We care for talent the way a gardener tends to their most cherished plants, with patience, attention and dedication. Because the seeds we plant today will grow into the strong and vibrant team of tomorrow.

The most rewarding part? Meeting you in person.

We established new connections, exchanged ideas, and laid the groundwork for future collaborations. Also, we finally put faces to the many names we’ve interacted with online. Networking is part of our DNA, and Mary Jane Berlin proved once again to be an exceptional platform for that.

In a rapidly evolving and highly regulated industry like cannabis, in-person events such as trade fairs, conferences, and expos play a crucial role. These gatherings are not only an opportunity to present products or services, but also essential moments for building trust, something that remains fundamental in a sector where credibility and transparency are key.

A handshake, a look in the eye, or a shared laugh can often do more for a partnership than weeks of emails.

The energy of real-life conversations can’t be replicated through a screen. Ideas flow more naturally, connections deepen, and new opportunities emerge in the most unexpected ways. These moments remind us why showing up matters, because behind every project, there’s a person, and that’s where true collaboration begins.

Budtender Professional Workshop: Hands-On Training

One of the highlights of our presence at the fair was the Budtender Professional Workshop, held on Saturday, 21 June 2025 in the interactive space provided by Mary Jane Berlin (whom we thank for believing in the value of quality training).

The workshop offered a hands-on preview of our 20-hour professional Budtender course, now in its fourth edition and available for enrollment on our website. It was a tangible opportunity to learn directly from experts in the field.

Our Budtender Course has been designed for CSC managers looking to train their staff, for active Budtenders, and for those who want to approach this role seriously and professionally. The course provide the essential skills and knowledge needed to work in dispensaries, CSC or coffeeshops. It is also ideal for those who wish to acquire a comprehensive education on cannabis, extracts, and harm reduction. If you enjoy engaging with others and are curious to learn what makes a great Budtender, this course is perfect for you. Once you’ve completed the training, you’ll be prepared to step confidently into the role.

Key topics covered included

  • Welcome and expert introductions – An overview of the Budtender role and our training approach
  • Sativa or Indica? The answer lies in terpenes – A practical session to explore and analyze the terpene profiles of cannabis strains
  • How to identify a quality product – Insights into cannabis product evaluation, including a sample “Cannabis Cup” to demonstrate connoisseur-grade criteria
  • Final Q&A session – A space for open discussion, questions, and audience interaction

The workshop’s trainers

  • Veronica Accigliaro, founder and CEO of CannabisJobs.
  • Tommaso Bruscolini, phytotherapist and psychologist specialized in cannabis. A longtime collaborator of CannabisJobs, involved since the very beginning.
  • La Kalada team, the historic Cannabis Social Club in Barcelona, now also a brand present in Thailand and the Netherlands.
  • Cali Terpenes, a brand producing high-quality, natural terpenes identical to those found in cannabis strains.

Hands-on Experience with terpenes during the workshop

During the workshop, participants explored the common, but often misunderstood, categorization of cannabis into “Sativa” and “Indica.” It became clear that, from a scientific perspective, these labels are outdated and refer more to botanical and morphological characteristics (such as leaf shape, plant height, and growth cycle) than to actual effects on the body or mind.

Today, a more accurate and modern approach emphasizes the complete profile of phytocannabinoids and terpenes to truly understand a strain’s effects.

Thanks to Cali Terpenes, participants were able to immerse themselves in the world of terpenes using cannabis-inspired aromas: natural aromatic profiles free of THC and CBD, used for educational and professional purposes. Attendees had the chance to smell, compare, and analyze different scents with the guidance of industry experts, deepening their understanding of terpenes’ essential role in the sensory experience and overall effects of cannabis varieties.

We also presented a curated selection of products from La Kalada, who shared their hands-on insights into identifying and evaluating high-quality cannabis products. It was a valuable educational moment to understand what it truly means to work with professionalism and competence in a dispensary or CSC.
